I think that's brilliant - the further away you get from it, the more convincing it looks, with the flashes of light and dark from the shop windows, the splashes of colour, the figures ambling past the shops without any fixed intention of actually buying anything. I like the crisp, precise strokes of the brush, which suggest detail without showing it; and the reflected light on the floor brings the whole thing together: it would have been the easiest thing in the world to muck it all up by making that floor too dark, too brown and characterless. A great success.

Wow that's so good! I spent ages looking at this.....so much to see. I love the way you're eyes are forced through the painting to the two figures, when looked at close up. Love every bit of it...full of confidence and skill :-)
