Fantastic reflections and snow scene!

This has too much detail for me, I must admit, but I love your use of artistic licence; those reflections are wonderful.

That road looks really treacherous.

Thank you all for your kind comments. In my reference photos, the road was just a dull grey mass, so I decided to make it more interesting by putting in the slush and reflections. Totally out of my imagination, I'm afraid and probably not enough brown slush but when I tried that it looked terrible!

14" x 18". Tickhill in South Yorkshire is located south of Doncaster and is one of a couple of pretty, small towns in the area. As a resident, I spend a lot of time walking around the village and enjoying the atmosphere. This painting is one of a series of the town and is a winter scene depicting the Parish Rooms, which were recently renovated. I used quite a bit of artistic licence in the painting, notably on the road, which had actually been cleared of snow when I photographed it. As this left a large grey area I decided to add interest buy creating the reflections in the newly-melted snow. Oscar, my favourite dog, also makes another appearance, here seen taking his owner for a walk. Please visit my web site at: www.richardharpum.com. ORIGINAL SOLD.
