Attractive picture. Nice treatment of the trees; very detailed but it works well. The little outbuilding on the right hand side looks out of perspective ; the roof should widen slightly as it nears the viewer and it needs shadow to give it dimensions. Stonework is very well done and the shadows from the trees. Please don't be offended if I suggest you post no more than two at a time. Posting a lot pushes everyone else's work off the front page, often into deep buried portfolios, giving them no chance to get comments. There are no rules that say you must but it's what usually happens so that everyone gets a chance. You seem to be new and it's what we all did at the start when building up a portfolio but you will get more advice and comments if you post just a couple at a time. A nice portfolio.

Very nice. Same idea as above , in regard to the right side of pic- seems a little flat. Maybe more contrast, shadowing etc. Where in England is this?

I was wondering if this is caldy in wirral. i'm originally from a place called Irby in wirral. The style of the housing is similar to some of the older properties in that area. With regard to the right side, perhaps more work on the sandstone area( slightly more contrast between the light and dark areas) would pull it out a bit more, nice work on the trees

Hi Eddy. Yes it is Caldy Village on the Wirral. The building is called The Reading Room but i don't know why. I'm a member of Irby Artists Association. We meet every Monday at St. Chad's Hall in Roslin Road from September 'til April but during the summer we meet outdoors. This Monday was Heswall Shore by Sheldrakes All those boats and no beer! Yes. The sandstone part is weak - the painting is out at Brimstage Hall at the moment, when it comes back I'll work on it .
