Oil on Canvas. Painted to illustrate an EP of alternative Christmas songs by Corasandel. The picture was inspired by the lyrics to track 3 ‘Yuletide’. 'And they came from across the lake/With fine ale & fine presents/And we gathered in our winter claithes/Warmed ourselves on the hilltop bonfire/And they stayed on the shortest day/Watched the sun light the burial mound/And we feasted like no other day/Yes we passed the goodwill round.' I set myself a challenge to paint a small picture for each letter of the alphabet. Not every painting I've done since then has been part of this 'alphabet' but I enjoy coming back to this series in between other projects. I'd love to know what you think of my work or if you have a favourite.
