I am sure I commented on your drawing the other day - or I am going loopy?! Lovely drawing, super expression and nice light on the face.

Thea you are not going loopy, you did comment on this picture the other day. I am still getting to grips with the "My Gallery" on this website and moved this picture to another portfolio. In the process I unwittingly re-posted it and lost all of my comments along the way. Thanks for your comments they are much appreciated x

this is lovely , im finding it really difficult to draw my grandaughter and get the features right , he looks a lovely young man

Thank you, he is a lovely little man I have to say. Its difficult to get the features right on faces isn't it, on this one I just measured every feature to try and get the proportions right and it seemed to work. I sometimes use a graph as that works quite well to get the basic shape and features in. Good luck with your drawing of your granddaughter, Ann, I'm sure it will be great x

Charcoal on watercolour paper (all I had to hand at the time!). He looks surprised or fascinated by something - must have been off the telly as that what he was looking at at the time!
