A5 acrylic from my sketch pad, I tried some different methods of working here... rather than build out of the dark into the light as I usually do I made a mid tone wash and then added lowlights and highlights. This was a much quicker method of working but I am not sure the highlights are so strong (it takes multiple applications of titanium white to get a white on top of the grey) also I thinned the dark paint a bit more than I usually would.

Inspired by an artist friend I came back to paint a bit at the end of 2017. At the moment I am enjoying it and maybe because I have the patience to look more than I once did I am finding it easier and more enjoyable to actually produce a likeness.
