Thunderhead
I began this piece as an entry to an all-media art competition with a theme of “weather”. While trying to decide how to approach the project, I would study the clouds in the sky whenever possible. There are so many kinds of clouds and each one posed the question: How would I paint that? When I think of “weather”, however, I think of thunder clouds and the storms that they bring. So, “Thunderhead” is a rendition of an ensuing storm and my vision of “weather”.
