Thank you Kim, Ros, Helen and Abby for taking a moment to comment. I've since added some spattering and darker washes - not too dark - as I find it too clean for an old door. Also saw David Poxon's work for real yesterday ........... !

Part of a barn door in Saint Pardoux-Corbiere, Correze. Was in the region visiting family and to see the Watercolour Biennale in Saint-Yrieix-sur-Perche. Some excellent pieces ..... but no rust!
