Mud often is a greeny colour - especially in salt-water areas. I like this painting very much - it's so tempting to paint ramrod-straight masts, and niggle away with detail. You haven't, and your painting is therefore charged with life and movement. I want it...........

A parade of crosses stretching toward heaven. It's those delicate, feathery finishes that twitter so nicely among your baritone simplicity. Marsh emerald is to die for, especially when the sun sets low.

I know this scene very well indeed s we have a house on the North Norfolk coast. Just lovely redition of this beautiful scene. Do I detect the influence of John Tookey or John Hoar? Great painting - well done.

A very pleasant and peaceful watercolour, Alan.

Your brush stroke,s are kept to the very minimum and nothing is overworked, a leeson in how to paint a watercolour, fresh and straight to the point, Exellent !!!!!!! Harry.

Thanks for all those encouraging and kind comments. Thea. Too true you do! John Tookey and John Hoar are great artists, there are also influences of Edward Wesson, John Yardley, Roland Hilder and a few others in the mix I suspect.

Hi Painted this little coastal scene today and although the mud is a greeny colour I quite liked the simplicity of it so I thought I would share it with you all.
