Great painting, Alan - it reminds me of the style of Haidee-Jo Summers... I agree with you in your philosophy of art. I'm trying to be more impressionistic and loose, but it's an uphill battle as I'm a naturally detailed person!

My attempt to paint impressionistic roses as I do not care for detail. Need a bit of tweeking one or two things concern me. Who said "the closer to realism you get the further from art you go" and I agree :-)
