This is turning into an interesting series, keep them coming.

Love the sunlit buildings and enjoying seeing all your delightful sketches Alan.

Another beauty Alan..they'll be a rush for this paper, I must get some :)

Beautiful, Alan. Feel I am out there painting too. Hope you have a super time.

Beautiful sketch, Alan.

Great drawing Alan as are all the rest in this 'series.'

Another lovely sketch, Alan.

I'm loving all these sketches, Alan, so full of sunlight - the addition of white on that tinted paper is so effective.

What a super sketch you have here, Alan. Even like this it all looks so believable. The architectural nuances are delightful, with their twists and turns, angles and differing sizes and shapes. I bet it'll make a super painting. I hope you keep these sketches btw. Bri

Great stuff Alan, you sound as though you are having a wonderful time!

As others have said this series of paintings are so good Allan, will be nice to see the oil version.

Very interesting series Alan.

These could make a book on your process Alan: showing how to use your preliminary sketches with a view to information gathering and painting later etc. Maybe an idea, if you didn’t already have it? You have such a lovely crisp and clear style and I agree with all other comments here.

Your sketches are very wonderful, Alan.

I spotted this gorgeous array of crooked old finca’s and church from some distance, so managed to get up reasonably close to draw this quick ink sketch. Subtle mellow ochre colours and burnt sienna, dotted with a few white splashes, simply has to be painted plein air at some stage. I’m hoping to get back with the oils tomorrow, nice and early to catch the long morning shadows. The backdrop is Mount Montgo, visible for many miles and a prominent landmark in the Javea area. Indian Ink on A4 Strathmore Tan paper. Not Absolutely sure of the name, will have to check that out.
