Thanks Adele, it's the underarm and shoulder area that I've worked on as they're too light and stand out. The red I'm using's an absolute bugger to work with, I'm constantly covered in it!
Gudrun, I see where you're coming from - I nearly did that with a portrait of my daughter once. This client wants the finished article though, so I'm saving the easy background section for the finish line :)

Margaret, it's 500x1000mm so relatively large. Adele, the red is Winton Cad Red Deep - I'm used to using Pebeo quick-dry oils with Liquin so it dries in a crack but I've had to use this red straight from the tube to get the coverage I wanted. It's taking an ice age to dry, and it seems to get everywhere!
