Point duly noted Syd, thanks for the comment, and thanks for the replies Margaret and Adele - the position is certainly correct to the supplied photograph as I scaled and traced the original (set the dogs on 'im!) The slight tilt of her head, possibly even the angle I've shot the WIP photograph from, may exaggerate the assymetry slightly :)

I find it really interesting how faces from the western world seem to be more asymmetric than oriental faces. But the asymmetry is often what makes faces memorable. and recognisable. I have heard that symmetry makes faces more attractive, but I disagree. Symmetry makes a face look unreal/plastic. People often have a dominant eye as far as their vision is concerned, but it is usually obvious which eye it is by just looking at them.
So celebrate asymmetry.
