“The Cows Are Coming!” This is Barford Lane Corner, Downton, Wilts. My Grandparents lived here when we were children. In those days at about 4.00pm the cows would be herded up the street to the farm for milking. Granny would always send us out to the front door to shoo the cows away from her door, so that she didn’t get cow pats over her step and door! Pencil on Strathmore Bristol Vellum
