Blue bells in Everdon

Blue bells in Everdon

Lucky colleague - paintings of bluebells can be distressingly predictable, but I like this because you're in the painting, not being invited to wander up some pretty path but confronted with the depths of the wood.

A lovely series of paintings. This is my favorite - I agree with Robert, the painting really engages the viewer and gives a sense of being deep inside the wood.

Beautiful dappled sunlight, a lovely painting.

I agree with the above Wyndham, a lovely deep painting. Have you added some imagery to the trunk of the nearest tree?

I agree with all the above comments. Very nice :)

Thanks for the feedback! I like the idea of drawing people into the picture so that you are part of it. Strong sunlight creating dappling and shadows are a particular favourite.

Love the away you have kept the light through the background trees, Brilliant.
