A big storm began brewing in the distance whilst out painting this view, ended up taking cover in the car as it passed right overhead.. Somehow the Easel with the painting on it survived in it- and managed to finish off the painting using the lightning streaks as reference as they passed into the distance. This is what’s so exciting about painting plein air- you just don’t know what your going to get! Glad I didn’t put the brolly up…..
