Thank you Simon, Carole, Fiona, Val. Sylvia and Julie. It certainly focuses the mind and the different subject matter has been interesting the most challenging being 'How to Use a Microscope', now that did take some ingenuity! Julie Bosley is one of the six artists involved so maybe she can be persuaded to post one or two of her contributions. Her work in the Seashore Ecology book I have at the moment includes some beautiful collage and embroidery.

Thank you Seok and Satu. The idea wasn't mine but if you google it you will see that it has become quite an established form of art. Julie asked me to join this project and the six artists are based in Glouscestershire, Cumbria and in my case the south coast. We've had approximately 12 pages to do in each book so it's been quite a commitment!

Thank you Thea, I have to post my book off to the next artist at the end of the month and as I have only done 9 of the allocated 15 pages and grandma duties will be interfering I feel a bit under pressure!

Along with five other people I have been taking part in an altered book project for 2013. The idea is to use an old book as inspiration for paintings, drawings, collage etc. We each provide a book and work in it for the first two months and then hand it on to the next person and receive one from the previous person. At the end of the year we will all have contributed to six different books and receive our own book back with contributions from all the six artists involved. It has been challenging , interesting and enjoyable. This is a couple of pages from my Sept/ Oct book titled 'Seashore Ecology'.
