I agree, they start to look like real watercolours and I love the red houses.

Thank you Sylvia and Satu for your encouraging comments. I did this from a photograph I took whilst on holiday at Lake Como recently, it actually took hours but I really enjoyed doing it and love the fact that I can alter something I am not happy with as the painting progresses.

This is super Christine. Nice to see your work again - hope you had a good holiday. Did you use your iPad as a sketchbook whilst you were away? It will certainly save carrying lots of equipment around all the time!

Thank you Julie. I had a lovely holiday thank you - Lots of inspiration! I had every intention of using my iPad for sketching but found it really difficult to see the screen in the sunshine! I had to resort to my camera as I hadn't taken my sketchbook with me. The learning process continues!

I can understand the problem, as I find taking photographs with the iPad difficult in bright sunshine too!

What I like about both of your postings today is that the colours are bright and clear, but never garish.

Thank you Robert for your comment. What I love about using the Brushes app is that I can achieve the bright solid colours I like to use much more effectively than I can in other mediums.
