This is good Christine. You spent some time on it unlike me. I got scared and kept the lines to a minimum. Surprising what can be achieved after years of practice/memory without looking at the paper.

I can't comment on likeness Christine. I note you have made the image very small .... Don't worry I shall give this a go too.

Thank you Louise, the image isn't very good, I'm having problems downloading from my iPad. I have to confess to looking to place my pen within the frames of my glasses to draw my eyes.

You look much nicer than this, Christine! But well done! Much more thorough than mine.

It's very very good Christine and do I dare to say that I can recognise you!

Thank you Shirley and Satu, I did do this quite slowly and found it really difficult not to look at what I was drawing! The addition of paint does help and I did look to do that. A fun challenge and at least it got me back painting again, I'm finding it hard to feel inspired at the moment!

Aw Christine you're all making me feel guilty

Christine, this is great - so much expression and character on the face and such dynamic lines. The displacement of the features comes over as real artistic vision rather than you thinking you got a bit lost with the lines. I love all these portraits and I am going to have another go at one and use the technique for drawing a few other things as well. I find it liberating and fun.
