Agapanthus

Agapanthus

Looking at it again now it's been posted it does look every bit as bad as I originally thought!

No it doesn't! I like it - especially as my agapanthus is in bud and am quite excited. If the wine's worn off, just have another.

I'd just have another glass and do another! I like the colours and flower shapes and if it was mine I'd call it an experimental piece, actually rather a good experiment!

Thank you Marjorie and Louise, I may have another go at it because in the cold light of day it doesn't look great! I think that nice chilled glass of rose made me view it through rose tinted specs! It is such a spectacular plant though, the shape and colour just asks to be painted!

Nae bad for en experiment - many would be over the moon to produce something as good as this!

Glad you rescued it from the bin Christine....top your glass up and throw more colour at it!!

Thank you Michael and Fiona for your encouragement. It is so long since I used my watercolours it is like starting all over again!

A difficult flower to attempt, you have caught it's essence Christine.

Not bad at all, Christine. It bears all your hallmarks of fun and joie de vivre. It's lovely!

My agapanthus keep dying, so I will have to just content myself with enjoying your beautifully painted one. Super colours - all my favourites in one painting, bliss.

Thank you Carole, Seok and Thea, I struggle with watercolours so it's great to have encouraging comments!

I painted this earlier today but it didn't turn out as I intended and finished up in the bin. Before I binned it I photographed it with a view to painting an improved version, now, after a glass of wine, it doesn't look quite as bad as I originally thought, what do you think? We learn by our mistakes so I may try again.
