Very nice Christine, especially that Bee!

Love the colours and the sentiment behind this one. Roll on Spring!

Thank you Louise and Debs, I found it quite therapeutic to paint this and imagine summer on this dark, dismal, windswept day on the south coast!

Ah, spring.......seems a long way off at the moment Christine but this lovely painting has given me hope!!

Lovely, happy little painting Christine! Love the bee but where is the snail? How do you find the Golden Fluids? Are they very fluid or very different compared to normal acrylics? How is the covering strength.

This is lovely Christine - it reminds me of an embroidery - a bit like a section of a sampler. That is possibly the effect of the Khadi paper surface - very nice!

Thank you Fiona, Satu and Julie, it was good to get back to painting again after the Christmas festivities! Satu, I really like using Golden Fluids, for me they are a happy medium between watercolour and acrylics. They are, undiluted, the consistency of single cream and have a very good covering strength. I often use them as watercolour and they are much more forgiving! The colours are strong and vibrant. They wouldn't be suitable for your knife paintings!

Thank you Christine for the information, good to know!

Wonderfully composed work. I like the fact that it is stylised and almost looks like a sewn panel or tapestry. Gorgeous colours as well.

Thank you Thea, I think perhaps I will experiment with converting this into an embroidery, I have some lovely natural linen which would be perfect for the background. It would take a lot longer to complete than the painting did though!

Beautifully done, Christine - such a delightful scene, full of joie de vivre!

This is lovely; it looks like fine embroidery due to the use of texture. The bird is beautifully done.

I'm fighting against the dreary weather and looking forward to sunnier days. Golden Fluid Acrylics on Khadi paper.
