Bank Street, Wigtown

Another one to make me homesick Willie…😂 You’ve painted the lovely Georgian architecture beautifully, especially their subtle colours and I like the glimpse of the Galloway hills in the background. You must have been stood with your back to the bowls green and the County Building to your right!

Correct Fiona and thank you for your comments. There mighy be a few more. Sorry!

Has a lovely quality to it Willie

Love those pastel coloured houses. It’s very much like a street in Houghton le Spring Willie.

You got the feel of the place Willie - at least it wasn’t raining, it poured down when we were there.

Thanks Heather and Carol. Maybe I should visit Houghton its a tad closer! Thank you Marjorie, we didn't escape the rain but had ample opportunity for sketching.

A great composition Willie. I love how you’ve portrayed the buildings.

An oil after a sketch on a visit to Scotland's 'Book Town' Great place but a very windy street to sketch in.
