Western Beach by Willie Drea

Corrr.....I like this Willie! Wonderful dramatic atmosphere, with lots Of texture and marks to catch the eye.

Love the use of palette knife here and the bold, dramatic marks Willie. The paler foreground blues adds a softer dimension, creating an excellent balance within the painting.

I love the blues and movement in the sky.

Thanks Fiona, Carole and Chrissie for commenting, the photo is probably a bit too blue but I was aiming for free mark making to try and get away from 'tight' painting -so thank you.

Great use of the palette knife, Willie. The foreground textures are really well done and the entire piece is very dramatic and vibrant.
