You obviously have a real feel for land and sky. The evening light is wonderfully painted, I love the brushstrokes in the sky and the broken brush work in the mid and foreground. Very eye catching

Lovely use of colour and sense of space and air. Super

Evening Light on the Somerset Levels. this was painted during a workshop by Kate Lynch. She had asked us to bring photos of the Somerset levels. Some artistic license has been used. Kate Lynch did a project on the willow industry on the levels, with a series of paintingsfrom the planting of the withies right through to basket-making. The book she produced together with verbal recordings of the workers is a joy. She has since done a similar project called "From Lamb to Loom" about sheep farming on the levels. She is a great inspiration to me .
