A very nice painting, nice shadows, is this pastel?

Yes, you have done well with this mountain - good texture agree with Lorraine regarding the shadows.

Hi - this is all watercolour with a touch of white acrylic inbetween the mountain on the top right hand side.

Nice result but consider that distance should be cooler and paler not warmer and brighter as you have it. It would have looked much better if the yellow had been toned down to harmonise slightly.
