I assume this is the flattened scene? I haven't been to Wells Beach. I like this.

Very good I almost said very nice picture Wendy! I love your colours and the composition. Re the technique although I do not work in Acylics I refrain from cleaning my brushes too often or too vigorously when working with oils and subject to what I am painting often leave several colours on the brush, it works with sand and rocks too. We know that a mass of dark green foliage is mightily enhanced by a planned or accidental splash or streak of red in the paint (perhaps left on the brush) which brings the colour to life, provided that the subject is not too far distant of course. Very well done.

This is very effective and the grasses have turned out very realistic and streaky with plenty of colour. This is one of the subjects I love to paint because it allows me to paint so free.

This on a 20x16" canvas. I followed the techniques of Hashim Akib by putting more than one colour on to a flat brush and allowing the colours to streak and mix for the grasses. It was a bit scary to do but I am pleased with the results.
