A great painting!!

A superb painting and great information.

Love it, great painting Brian and I like the figurework

Thanks for your comment David. Cheers Paul, I saw them a number of times but got to ride on one just the once. They were strange to me as a child, being from Sheffield I was more familiar with the bone shaker of a tram system. Thanks Heather, although figures always adds interest I find it still doesn't come automatically to put them in? Thank you Spencer I really appreciate that.

Fantastic painting.

Love the title and everything about this Brian.

Lovely detailed, but lively work Brian.

Thank you for your kind comments Denise. Thank you Carole, the title sort of made itself up. Ding, ding was the sound I remembered followed immediately by the conductors comments. Thank you Stephen, I have to own up to a tendency towards excessive detail. Simplification is not a strength of mine.

Another superb painting full of nostalgia.

Thank you David it's strange how enjoyable it can be to re-live the past once you're the wrong side of 75.

The Rotherham trolleybus system once served the town of Rotherham in the West Riding of Yorkshire. Opened in October 1912 it was the forth trolleybus system to be established in the UK after Bradford, Leeds and Dundee. At its peak Rotherham Trolleybus operated 10 routes with a maximum fleet of 59 trolleybuses. It closed in October 1965. I understand one can still be seen at The Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft.
