Very good whim, Jim, with great movement and depth. Excellent and subtle use of aerial and linear perspective. It also has excellent atmosphere, and the peat spade in the pannier is a nimble touch. It might have been quickly rendered but it's very effective. Nice one. Brian

nice one Jim , saw the peat being cut on one of my trips to Eire - and not at a model village either.

So full of movement...and your emotion, too Jim! Love it!

I saw an old Irish photograph and the peat smell was back in my nostrils. It's a smell you can never forget. A quickly done momochrome done on a whim. 12 x 8.5 inches.
