Nice work Jim, full of character.

I keep meaning to ask...you say it's watercolour. Your whites like quite thick, are you using gouache or maybe acrylic? I don't like using masking fluid, and I'm always losing my whites.

Good grief! That's brilliant...and they say I'm fast...well a brilliant piece, as Michael says, full of character.

Thanks Michael Lewis and Thalia. Yes Lewis, I always use acrylic white for both highlights and sometimes thinned for washes. I'ts a bit of a lazy way and not as effective as using negative space. I would use that on anything important as acryllic "yellows" quite easily. It does give an oils effrect. This is really just a fast sketch.
