..there are loads of images of people with books. A lot of them look so posed, so "here's me reading a book, I wanted my subject to be affected by what he was reading. I based my painting around Sir Joshua Reynolds work of Samuel Johnson but certainly not copied. Mainly watercolour, 9 by 6 inches and I wish I had painted it bigger.
