I love this very loose interpretation of the willow pattern, did you use western watercolours ? which ink did you use? I am not sure that it done in the Chinese way but just in the style of.. it does look as if you had a lot of fun doing it though. well done Jim a lovely painting.

Thanks Tao. It's just ordinary black ball pen and ultramarine blue watercolour in various strengths and very casually. The actual sketch is only 8 x 6 inches, so here it looks bigger.

Lovely interpretation of the iconic blue and white pattern Jim. I like the loose almost doodle marks, especially the birds.

I love Willow Pattern Jim - makes me think of my nan. I always thought it was magic and special.
