You are doing really well with the oil pastels Jim, I like this.

You can buy Zest-it online, Jim - Jackson's, Grantham Art Discount, Ken Bromley Discount Art. You really have a feel for these oil pastels - looks like this is your medium. The painting is well composed, and it has movement. Better to use an oil or alkyd white than acrylic with them though, because it's likely - but not certain - to peel off: if it were over oil paint, it would: but oil pastel is more wax than oil, so you might be lucky. Not that it would matter hugely, because you could always just take it off and add a bit of oil/alkyd white instead. They do make white oil pastels, of course!

.., helped out with a little acrylic white...a bit more practise. Not an attempt at a picture, just a quickish sketch. Turps is getting me in trouble again. Must find somewhere here that sells the Zest-it stuff.
