That looks so good Jim, thank you for taking part! I used several different hardnesses and my softest was 6 B.

I'm getting to know this scene Jim. LOL. This is really very good. The shadows, verticals and ellipses are all there and very well drawn. I obviously used the wrong pencil but I only had an HB to hand. Not the right choice, the 8b softer one you used did the job didn't it? Well done and good for you for taking up a difficult challenge :)

ps.. just for comment, my daughter bought me a box of "Derwent 24 Graphite" pencils some time ago. I don't draw that much but they are a really useful item to have. They range from H and B right through to 8b and 9h.
