This is brilliant , Jim. I’d never seen this one before so looked it up. You’ve really done it justice, a rather complicated painting, too.

Thanks David and Marjorie. I took my time Marjorie and tried for expressions as well as perspective. The eyes had to be focussed on the painting. Singer Sargent was such a genius.

If you are going to copy, copy the best! Good effort.

this is really good Jim - the women are particularly good.

I did this quite a while ago, my watercolour version of John Singer Sargent's "Painting in the Generalife" (the garden area of the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain). I've been there three times and words can't describe the beauty of it. I dug it out and touched it up a little. Probably one of my better works although a copy.
