In Christian churches, The sanctuary lamp, (usually a red light,) is extinguished on Good Friday when the body of Christ is removed from the main church, and re-lit at Easter Sunday signifying his resurrection..The red light is and always has been, a comforting sight for me and I felt a sudden urge to put it in paint, since Easter is next week end. Again, loose impressionism...
