You sound a little down Jim , I trust the sun will shine brighter for you . If it is the proverbial "block" , then I can definitely sympathise after a lukewarm 2019 , but they do seem to end. Have to confess that Sir Walter Scott is not an author I choose to read now - school cert material - but I do enjoy your paintings as being fresh and innovative. I wish you well , Jim.

Still not up to painting very much right now, so, For re-reading (after many times) Sir Walter Scott's "Young Lochinvar" (originally a popular poem from "Marmion") and digging out this related work from files. It's a personal favourite ( and my original illustration of the poem) and just appealed to do it. Forgive if you will. Just the mood I'm in.
