An interesting exercise, that's produced an instantly recognizable result. This is one of my favorite works of art. I saw it in 1960 at St Peters, the whole place was a little overwhelming, but this sculpture had the biggest impact for me. An astonishing work. Until this visit I'd had little interest in so-called 'Fine art' (illustration was my thing). This masterpiece made me look afresh at all art.
