An interesting, good drawing Jim. What a life she had!

A fascinating character. I've only seen one painting of her...not sure if it was painted from life...in it she looks rather staid....yours is better.

Great story Jim. The fossils I found there were still in the soft clay-like state and obviously many thousands of years younger than what I would have liked.

An imaginary sketch based on an illustration of Mary Anning who became famous as a fossil hunter on Dorset's Jurassic coast. She lived in Lyme Regis and made her name in history with her fossil finds. I've purposely kept the colours drab and painted a normal girl without flash or fashion, just as she was historically.
