nice lively sketch Jim :)

Great marks Jim 👍🏻 Like it.

I like it as well Jim!

This brings back memories. In the 50's Dad would get bottled beer for Xmas, it smelt like beer in those days, we kids would check the empties hoping that a smidgen would be left. Then it was up to the off-license at the pub to get the money back on the empties. I still like a brown ale with my Christmas dinner...doesn't taste the same, or maybe it's just memory playing 'it was better back then' tricks on me.

Very informative work Jim. Yes I remember taking bottles back, got 2d on each one. What we should be doing now instead of inconsistent recycling..

Thanks all for the comments. My first memories of beer was the bottled Mackeson stout my grandma used to plunge a sizzling poker from the fire in. She swore the iron did her good. We also got sent to the side door of the local pub for a jug of been whenever visitors arrived. You didn't need to mortgage the house to take a social drink back then. In addition to the ageless bottled Guinness, I can remember Bullseye, Brown ale, I.P.A (Indian Pale Ale), Nip Strong,) Barley Wine and XXXX (dynamite all) (-:
