Totally unhappy with the face this morning to be truthful. It's quite small (about 1.5 inches by 1 inch in my painting) and I should have done better. In reality the lady was very attractive. Mine looks a bit too harsh.

You have that flow though. I think it's rather good.

I think you've done a fab job of it, Jim. I love Singer Sargent, and I love your version of it.

Recognised this from J.S.S.'s famous portrait, very good.

A John Singer Sargent exercise. Not done justice to a very beautiful lady and a magnificent John Singer Sargent portrait, but the exercise was useful. Watercolour on 10 x 10 inch card. About 75 minutes work.
