This reminds me of new white clothes socks and frocks and shiny new shoes all bought for Whit Friday walks . Me sitting in the cobbles and popping tar bubbles which squirted over my new white finery. I think I was a bit of a trial child. But thanks for the memory Jim.

I bet you had sandals with white crepe soles on that tar too Sylvia. That and tar marbles were regular items for getting in trouble at home....(-: Thanks to you Cesare and Alan for the comments....
