Three Standing Stones on Bodmin Moor, part of a large circle called The Hurlers. I kept coming back to this group of three stones. Somehow they seemed to have energy and narrative and in the end I decided to paint them in the resist method, cutting out all shrubbery etc., around them to concentrate on their monumentality and power, although they aren't really very big. Painted in gouache and ink
