This is a portrait of a person looking at a person giving directions in a local town. I noticed the innocent look and expectant look, which I thought was quite sensitive and painted the picture later. It is painted with a palette knive in arcylic paint, so was done quite quickly enabling recall of the face and effective use of the paint. It was painted as all my work is done from memory and reflection, not from photographs or any other aid.
