Openly pellucid

I had to look "pellucid" up ! Good title for an fascinating painting! I wonder what inspired you to do this?

Lousie you should tell us what pellucid meant. What a great painting, Neil the skill you show in order to acheive the translucency of the body is immense. It brings to mind the saying 'fill your boots'

Helen, it means transparent, clear, mentally clear ! Neil, thanks for commenting on my " sunlit cloisters". You've not been painting long have you so very well done on producing these. I'd say that you're one to watch as the expression goes :} ....and we've learned a new word !

Another strange but good one , reminds me of making clear acrylic figures for a sci-tech centre I didn't have to fill them with blood though . : )
