Rough seas at Sandsend and Whitby in the distance. I used canvas board, and put coarse pumice paste on the part for beach and stones . I then washed diluted acrylic crimson and purple over the whole board . I used heavier acrylic paint to complete the painting whilst trying to keep it dramatic and looose. This painting is sold.
