39cm x 29cm Geoffroy's marmoset in natural setting. My inspiration was a photograph that I took in London Zoo's rainforest exhibit. The animal in my snap was an Emperor tamarin but he was facing the wrong way so I searched my records and found the marmoset. Hopefully I have got the atmosphere of a rain forest at dawn. I used soft pastels and pastel pencils on grey velour. My first painting for a while as I got wrapped up in a rather tricky counted cross-stitch.
