Well done for getting to the stage you did Justin, there is always next year, and now you’ve had the initial experience, next time will be a doddle for you! I think this is a wonderful colourful interpretation of the abbey, it reminds me a little of John Pipers ecclesiastical works.

Most attractive colours. Well done for getting as far as you did in the competition.

This is blooming gorgeous. Well done for entering and getting invited along. You deserved that place as your works amazing. The colours in this are stunning.

Well done, Justin. This is a fabulous painting and I love the colours, it looks very majestic. I’m assuming you painted this in acrylics.

Well done Justin, I think your painting is really lovely, the colours are beautiful. It must have been quite a challenge, something I couldn't have done. You must try again next year!

Thank you all for the lovely comments, I shall certainly have a dip again next year. I have managed to watch the episode now and I pop up once or twice, which is really strange to see.

Incidentally this was the first picture I had done in the open 'ever' and I think it went quite well. I have streamlined my outdoor painting kits considerably because of this event as I took far too much equipment, and staggered to and from the Abbey as I did not have the Joan Bakewell golf cart to
