I really like this though provoking painting , very clever and well painted.

This is so clever and so very interesting, a great and imaginative piece of storytelling through art.

Love this Martin

Well you certainly got me and my husband talking about this Martin. I was considering whether it was a palimpsest, he said not. Whatever, it’s as Paul said, very thought provoking. You’ve put it together so well!

Thanks very much Paul Heather Sarah and Marjorie. I can see why the discussion over it being a palimpsest took place but there was no erasing so I don’t think it is one. Good word though. I had to google it. Ha

Just love the way you have painted this, Martin. It is most intriguing!

What an interesting idea Martin and very well executed. Makes the viewer think!

Thanks very much David and Tessa. Always appreciate your input

Just to add, Martin. My husband thought it was “ metaphysical”. We checked and decided no. Such intellectual discussion you have started Martin.🤣😵‍💫

Like the narrative, very nice!

I’m glad I’m good for something Marjorie. I can just about hear your grey cells rattling from here. Our intellectual conversations usually rise to the level of ‘shall we have porridge for breakfast?’

Thanks Spencer and Romila. Good of you to comment

Superb. Meditative!

Nothing lasts forever. Watercolour based on a view at Lindholme Hall where old outbuildings are being removed and new rooms are planned. The ancient cat Tali who had lived there for years must be on his ninth life, the monk passes through fleetingly, birds fly over in a flash and even the ancient oaks will go eventually. The moles also pass through On Canson Moulin de Roy cp 20x16”
