And a welcome return with a lovely work.

Worth waiting for, it's a lovely one Robert, a super snow-laden sky with plenty of the white stuff already on the ground

Beautiful landscape, Robert. I love your rich and delicate colour scheme.

Really moody sky - well done.

A great start for your return Robert.......it's magnificent!

Super dramatic sky with a landscape to match!

More of a skyscape than landscape. Call it what you want: I call it brilliant.

Just back from a few days in Glencoe and it was almost as beautiful as your painting.

Great snow scene Robert, what a great place to be able to spend a few days in! The thought of waking up in the mornings and looking out onto this scene is pretty mind boggling

Thank you all for your comments, they will inspire me to pick up the brushes again and hopefully create something worthy of another posting.

Wonderful textures in the snow - how did you do that?? Also superb dramatic sky - love the shafts of light showing through the clouds.

This is stunning. I love the sky.

Thanks Thea & Dawn. The texture is achieved by dry brushing and keeping the brushstrokes almost parallel with the paper. Best to practice on some scrap just before attempting it on a painting.

Seasonal picture, one from my archives as I've not been very active of late. Need to kick off the dust and get cracking. This is my first posting for quite a while, Seasonal greetings to all.
