Hi, Robert! Not sure how the "Comments" section works but you were kind enough to comment on one recent posting of mine and I left a reply there but I'm not at all sure whether or not you would necessarily get notified of it. Anyway, I'm cutting and pasting what I wrote for you to see on your own gallery page! Life drawing/painting, along with portraiture, is most definitely my favoured artistic field of endeavour. I don't do enough of it, mainly due to lack of models and no classes locally at the moment. I find it a really challenging genre! This was only intended as a quick sketch, not a completed work, so I left the head off, both to cut down on the time spent doing it and partly to preserve the subject's anonymity. I often do this with friends/acquaintances who might be good enough to sit for me, as they can understandably be a bit sensitive about being identified when posted online! thanks very much for your kind comments! I've had a look at your work posted here and I'm very impressed! Also glad to see someone who clearly loves to tackle a challenging subject and who does it so well! It makes a change from flowers, pets and landscapes that predominate here. nothing wrong with those subjects at all and good luck to those doing them but they don't really float my boat! I love the confidence of your line. Very crisp! You've obviously done a lot of this. You seem to have a decent supply of models, too, and I envy you that! It's a huge difficulty for me. All the best to you and keep up the good work. Mike Murtagh

About the Artist
Robert Furniss

Self taught artist. Passion for watercolour landscapes. Currently enjoying playing with one line blind sketches with watercolour added loosely after. However due to life's pressures my hobby is taking a low priority but I hope to rectify this in the not too distant future.
